Race Relations

Growing up through the years, it felt like race relations were moving forward and getting better as time went on. The moment I realized that wasn't exactly true, was when George W. Bush ushered in the modern era of the "Good ole' Boy". Since then, it feels like we've taken steps back. Two steps forward, 8 steps back. President Obama's election to office some how had the opposite effect on America. It brought out unresolved racism suppressed by societal peer pressure. Once George W. gave the green light to bigotry, people were like "America, Fuck Yeah". It's like race relations are going nowhere just doing donuts in the street, while we riot around it.
