Empire

The show Empire premiered on Fox last night and I will say it was entertaining but a little cheesy at times. It's a story about a Hip Hop record label/family and their everyday struggles to survive in the industry. Reading the comments on twitter, a woman described the show as "Black Dynasty" and I would have to sort of agree with that. Instead of selling oil, they're selling a dream. I would say it’s like the Hip Hop Nashville, which comes on the same night on a different channel (ABC). I'm a little upset because Fox put Empire on at the same time as Blackish but that's what they made On Demand for. I watch three tv shows and they all come on the same night, my Wednesday nights are booked.
