When Moses parted the Red Sea, he made a Half-Pipe

Think of a circle! Now, in the middle of the circle, imagine a skateboard being able to spin around with arrows attached, landing in different points. Now, spin the skateboard and spin it again. Our skateboard has now become a rotating bridge, shortening the distance between points on our circle. Leading skaters to Art, Music, Film Making, Fashion Design, etc. and all because they started skating. The rotating bridge, which is Skateboarding, paves the way for people to explore other avenues of creativity. There are all types of skaters Punk, Hip Hop, Hippies, Beatniks…the list goes on. All these demographics have something in common, but what sticks out to me is skating. Skateboarding is an actual activity these groups partake in together. Plus, you can blend styles together to make one all your own and that’s ok in skating. Companies use skateboarding as a marketing tool to say something’s young, cool, alternative or diverse (depending on what they’re going for). Using it as an alternative form of classification. When Moses parted the Red Sea, he made a half-pipe. Excuse me, Mega Ramp. Well actually, two tidal waves you’d have to tow surf into. The same case could be made for other things, but skateboarding might win this one. Simply based on acceptance.
