A match made in Heaven (Skateboarding is my DJ)
There are some things that are just made for each other, Peanut butter & Jelly, Ham & Cheese, Burger & Fries…Music & Skateboarding. Imagine your favorite skate video without music. Think about your favorite skate video parts and then think about the song. The music a skater picks for a part is just as important as the trick selection. A skaters image (more often then not) is defined by what music he or she listens to. The world has been introduced to so much music through Skateboarding. You'll hear a song in a skate video and then two years later hear it in a commercial on Television. Music & Skateboarding are permanently joined at the hip. Go to a skate park and count how many people are wearing headphones, let’s count how many skaters play instruments, make beats, Rap or even DJ. I have friends that could work for Rolling Stone Magazine with the extensive music knowledge they gained through skating. Basically, skateboarding is the bridge to all facets of pop culture and acts as a trendsetter to the world (I'll elaborate on that in another post).
